I have been working in the translation field for the last seven years and I am now working as a full-time Turkish Translator. I obtained a dual diploma in classical archaeology and teaching from the University of Istanbul in 2001 and I taught Turkish in the UK professionally in 2005 and 2008. In 2005, I wrote my own Turkish learning book for foreign learners, in English. I took DPSI (Diploma in Public Interpretation) exam in 2005 and in the same year I obtained a TEFL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certificate from ICAL. Although I had training and experience in teaching, I no longer offer this service and I am a full-time professional TRANSLATOR and INTERPRETER only. I have two latest technology desktop computers connected to fibre optic broadband and equipped with Windows Office and Trados. I have an extensive library of linguistic publications and publications related to my own language combination. For the last seven years as well as translating documents of different types and subjects, I have edited some documents and magazines also transcribed extensive volume of various recordings. Quality, speed and price are my my most important attributes. I never agree with taking on a project I cannot deliver. In my entire professional translation career, I have not even once failed a deadline. I am committed to professional development and I constantly strive to develop myself in different aspects of translation profession including learning about new technologies and developing my vocabulary and reading different publications about translation. I have been working for K-International and the Language Line on a regular basis since 2006. Examples of some recent work carried out:
